Curses, one of my surround speakers have blown. I guess not really blown because at low volume it’s alright, but as soon as I turn it up it gets super distorted. It was the front right speaker, so I just exchanged it with one of the rear ones, since they don’t get as loud as the front and it seems to be working fine so far.

Phew.

It just goes to show, I may need to buy a new system soon. Sure, I can just replace the speaker, but I’ll never find just one matching speaker so I’d have to buy a whole set anyways. If I’m gonna buy a new set, I might as well get good ones and I might as well get a better system to go with it.

I’m hoping this one will still last me though. At least for another year so I can save up for a new system. I’d rather have the money to pay it up front than charge it.

The new Xbox dashboard is out and it’s awesome! Much faster that the previous blades and really well put together!

Also, I don’t care what other people say, but I like the new Mii style avatars. I’m calling them Me60s. As you can see, that’s me on the right.

I wouldn’t recommend linking directly to it though. The server seems to go down every once in awhile, so just get it and download it.

Update: Now all I need to do is buy a larger hard drive so I can have more than one game copied at a time.

I will be taking a flight to Sudbury for Christmas and a flight back from Timmins in the new year. This is going to roughly cost me $400+, which isn’t so bad, but can definitely hurt the wallet this time of year.

Because of this, I now challenge myself to only spend $200 over the next two weeks, which of course is the day I get paid. If I can pull this off, then I will already have my flight covered. So that means no going out and no buying any new games. It may not seem like a big deal, but expenses build up pretty fast without even knowing it.

Here’s to me being frugal!

Every day when I come home I always found around 3 toy balls sitting beside is food dish.

Wow, it’s been awhile since I’ve posted, but I’ve been thinking lately. How badly do I need a cell phone? Do I really need to pay for such a premium service? Do I need to be able to get a hold of someone 24/7, or vice-versa?

I hardly use my phone when I’m out and about. Most times I turn it off or ignore it when I’m with friends and I wait until I get home to call people back. When I’m at work, I can be reached there, so maybe I really don’t need my cell? Maybe I just got caught up in the the technology and had to have it, but without really justifying. I don’t have a home phone, just a cell, so what if I switched it up? If I got a service like Vonage, it would be a hell of a lot cheaper than my cell, plus long distance would still be free.

What do you think? Do I need it? Do a keep a cell phone around for “Emergencies?” Do I have to pay for such a premium service? The way I see it, if I get rid of my cell, I will have completely severed my tether to the big Canadian Telecoms (Rogers and Bell). I will not have to rely on their crappy service and overpriced packages. I would be free.

I’m thinking I will, but I’m not fully decided yet. What does everyone think?? Would you miss it if I didn’t have a cellphone?
