All I have to say is “Holy Crap!” Heath Ledger was found dead.
Here is another example on how mainstream media does not wish to report facts, but only hearsay. There really has to be repercussions for newscasts that misrepresent themselves to the viewers. These people are getting away with scare tactics meant to affect the minds of numerous ignorant individuals with full out lies.
I remember reading recently that news paper and television journalists don’t believe bloggers should be recognized as media because the difference between a journalist and a bloggers, is that a journalist fact checks. Take a look at this following video and ask yourself, does anyone here actually look like they bothered to investigate this claim, or just read it somewhere on the internet and decided to run with it. (Besides the Spike TV guy. He tried explain, but he didn’t listen.)
All I have to is get your shit right!
Today I started my training for the CN Tower stair climb that happens every year. Last year is was in April, so I’m going to assume it’ll be around the same time again this year.
I read that the climb consists of 1776 steps, and last years #1 climber made it in just over 8 minutes.
My goal is to climb it in under 30 minutes.
Today, I climb a total of 1060 steps in 30 minutes. Not bad considering it was my first try. I’ll just have to pick up the pace a little ;)
Welcome to 2008!
I had some pretty good holidays, but now it’s back to regular old work. Which really isn’t too bad. Too much relaxing can be hazardous to my health, and by relaxing, I mean drinking.
At least today wasn’t such a bad day to come back to work. Other than the fact that it’s ball shrinkingly cold out!! Nope, today was good. All the kids are still on holidays, so the buses were nice and empty. I was even able to get a seat on the GO this morning. I guess a few people are still on vacation. Good for them and good for me.
Christmas was fun! Santa brought me some great presents this year. I got me a Swiss Gear breifcase. It’s pretty snazzy. A cordless drill with bits. Now all my furniture has holes in it! I got some clothes, which are all too large, so I’ll have to exchange those. Sometimes I wonder how big my parents think I am. I got Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii and it’s every bit of awesome as you think it would be. In fact, think of awesome and add 10. Finally, I even got the good old favourite, cashola! It’s just my colour too.
I got a call from EB Games on Sunday. My copy of Rock Band arrived!! WOOO! Unfortunately, I turned it down. After the holidays, and trying to save money to move, I couldn’t justify $179 for one game. :( I still have plenty of other games I need to finish, so it’s really not all that bad. Even though the Wii doesn’t have achievement points, I going to find every star in Super Mario Galaxy, cause I’m crazy like that!
New Years was fun! I went to a dinner party, where I proceeded to get down with my bad self and boogie, plus drink mad amounts of wine. All in a brown paper bag, hobo style! New Years day was a complete write off for me. It consisted of many many naps and chicken wings.
Starting February I’ll be in my month long detox program, which I do every year. A whole month without any booze in my system. It’s actually getting easier as the years go by, because I’m not finding as many opportunities to drink as I use to. Plus, drinking is getting very expensive and I’m becoming a cheap ass!
I didn’t make any resolutions, except maybe the fact to write more updates in my blog. We’ll see how long that lasts!
I wish everyone safe and happy 2008, but come 2009, I hope some of you get hurt! :P
