So I finally did it. I made the switch from PC user to Mac, and I’ll say is it’s freakin awesome! I’ve been a hardcore PC user for so long now, but the current state of Mac OS X makes the jump quite simple. The interface is awesome and my machine is super fast.

I got the new 24″ iMac with the 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo and 2GB of RAM. The thing is huuuuuuuge! Have a look-see.
My Setup

The one thing I really love about the new machine is I am able to sync my Google calendar with iCal, then in turn sync my iCal and Address book with my cell phone via blue tooth. Now I’m up to date with everything no matter where I go. Plus, I took it even further and used a proximity detector to automatically sync with my phone when it comes in range. That way, the only work I have to do to sync my phone is walk into the room!!

So far, I’m enjoying the switch, but I think more so cause of the screen size. I walked into Tigerdirect the other day taking a look at their pc displays and kept thinking “What’s with all the small screens?” ;)

There is one issue so far though, I can’t get my all in one printer to work with my iMac. It’s a Lexmark x2350 and I can’t find any driver support for it :( Anyone have any ideas? I really don’t want to have to buy a printer (although, this one was free!)

usually the mac comes with most of the drivers.. if not.. then do a google for gimp print.. it’s a whole other set of drivers for different printers..

Curses… my printer is not supported by gimp print.
