Man, my head has been super cloudy this past week or so. Maybe it’s just matching the weather. Anyways. Whatever it is, I haven’t been able to write anything on this blog, even though tons of things have been happening. So weird.

Anywho, I was looking at my blog today, and it was kinda depressing to look at. All those dark colours and lack of contrasts. So, I figured the first step I’ll take to get out of my funk is to change the theme. My first plan was to design one of my own, but who has time for that!! I want instant results dammit!! This is why I like Wordpress! I just did a quick search and found myself a theme I liked (Basically, complete opposite of the last one) and install it. Sooooooooooo simple! And I’m really getting into these Widgets they have now. It makes customizing your sidebar even EASIER!! Except for my links. For some reason, my links to other blogs show up ugly, so I need to figure out how to solve that one and they’ll be right back.

Other than that one issue, full points for Wordpress! Wooo, you make blogging easier. Especially for someone like me who changes their mind every 20 minutes!

Update: After a little bit of code searching, I found the culprit and got the links to display properly!

I’m at a stage in life where I realize I can realize things.

A great moral question! Why should people do good things? I sometimes question that myself because it seems no matter what you do, whether it’s little or big, it’s never good enough!

Today for example, I decided to buy some donuts for everyone! Nothing major, just a little gesture. So I pick up 2 dozen donuts from Timmies. No big deal, and it’s only like $10.

Well, as soon as I bring them in, everyone is like “What’s up with you today?”, or “What’s the occasion,” or “You’re acting different!” It’s pissing me off?? I’m acting different cause I don’t bring donuts in everyday??! Is that why?? Why does it have to be an occasion? Why does everyone have to be suspicious towards a nice gesture. Why can’t people just accept and say thank-you. Actually.. I don’t need the thank-yous, that’s not why I did it.

Anywho, this is another Smokey-Rant, brought to you by the letter B and the number 11.

Does anyone know why is there an extra service charge for me to print my own tickets when ordering online??

I’m doing the printing! I’m doing the work! I’m sure your online ordering system isn’t complaining about the extra effort it has to put in to produce the printable ticket! What’s up with that??!

Wooo!! Comic book day today! It’s been a few weeks since Bud and I last went, so I’m sure there’ll be something new. It’s been awhile since I had a new Spiderman, so I’m wondering what’s happening there. Plus, I’m looking forward to the next issue of Civil War. I usually hate those super cross-over events, but this one has an excellent story, and it’s really gotten me to like Captain America a lot more.

On another note, I’m soooooo tempted to buy a copy of Gears of War. It looks freakin awesome and is gettin rave reviews! One problem, I still haven’t finished Tomb Raider, Ultimate Alliance and Dead Rising. What do I need another game for??

I really gotta sit down and finish those games. Plus, the Wii is coming out and I want one of those too!! ZELDA!!!!

Yarr! Bug fix after bug fix after bug fix! That’s how things are going at work. It gets a little tedious, and is not the most exciting work to do.

Oh well, what can you do. At least it’s all getting done.

That’s my update. Yay! I know! Exciting!

Oh, and Gwildor and I have been WoWin it for the last little bit, which is great cause since Lego Starwar II came out, I haven’t jumped online. I got my super Pally Mace, which kicks ass. Now all I need to do is convice Gwilly to do a Gnomerregan run!!

Dammit! I want to like Heroes so badly, but this show is just pissing me off. What is with all these cliff hanger shows? Every episode that airs only leads to new questions and doesn’t answer a single thing!

The worst part, is here is a group of people with all these powers, and nobody is using them in really cool ways! What’s up with that? Seriously, enough of the build up. We know who these characters are, let’s see them kick some ass? Is the entire first season going to be a story build up with one awesome super hero fight during the last episode?? Is each season going to be like that? If so, count me out!

Oh well, I’ll just continue to keep watching Dexter. At least he uses his powers!

Just a little tip I found I needed to do to Bacon Magazine.

We were using .png transparency filters for IE 6 so we can get the same effect that Firefox already supports buy using:

Now that IE 7 supports .png transparencies that code causes great ugliness. So to combat, and make sure it works in all version, I simply need to change that to the following:

Voila! We now have a fully compatible Bacon Magazine. Now, there is one issue I’m having where everything is bold in IE 7, but I haven’t looked into that on yet. I’ll keep ya posted!

I love Firefox. I really really really do! It’s such an awesome browser! In fact, download it now!

But for some reason, I come across some heavy flash intensive site, and it really slows the fuck down! Painfully slow! Retardedly slow!! Too slow that it allows my ADD to kick in and I wanna change sites. Now, there are two sites in particular that really piss me off. Those would be IGN and 1UP (actually, 1up used to be cool, but now it’s basically a complete rip off of IGN, which isn’t saying much, since IGN basically blows now) Anywho, those two sites just bog the fuck down… they ride the mother fucken short-bus!… and it’s all because of their gazillion flash animated adds and interface. GARBAGE!

I really have no point to this rant.. it’s just a rant.

On another note… I was playing Ultimate Alliance and I formed a team consisting of Captain American, Spiderman, Wolverine and Iron Man… I did that and babababab booom! The screen went all flashy, and angels descended from the heavens, and God himself spoke in such a voice only God can speak and said “New Avengers!!!”

It was awesome and gave me a +5 resistance to all my characters w00t w00t! This game rocks even more! I gotta try assembling other teams together and see what bonuses I can get!
